The 8 farm maps

Standard offers the most tillable land. Riverland splits plots by water; Forest gives hardwood stumps and forage; Hill-top has a quarry; Wilderness spawns monsters at night; Four Corners is co-op friendly with separate corners; Beach has no tillable soil but tidal forage; Meadowlands (1.6) starts with chickens and infinite grass.

Which map for beginners

Standard is safest for a crop-focused first run. If you want a gentler start with animals, pick Meadowlands.

Starts with 2 chickens and a patch of grass that regrows daily, but has less tillable land and more trees to clear.
